Red Raspberry Counselling Services

The Red Raspberry Story

Red Raspberry Counselling Services was created from the belief that healing is best nurtured in safe, compassionate spaces. With over 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families through perinatal transitions, I founded this practice to walk alongside people during times of change, loss, and growth in all areas of life. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, decolonial, anti-oppressive, and rooted in dignity and respect for the knowledge each person already carries.

I saw a need for spaces where people could feel companioned through life’s challenges, as well as for care specifically attuned to the unique realities of reproductive and perinatal experiences.

The red raspberry plant of the boreal forest has always been a symbol of resilience and nourishment, and has long been valued for supporting reproductive health. Red raspberries grow strong in community, sending out roots that weave together beneath the soil. What looks like many separate canes above ground is, in truth, one living network—resilient because of its connections.

This is the foundation of my work: providing care for both perinatal and general mental health that honours connection, fosters resilience, and supports meaningful growth.

Individual

Therapy

Individual sessions offer a supportive place to work through life’s challenges, at your own pace and with care attuned to your needs. Sessions available for adults, children and youth, and families navigating life’s changes.

Individual sessions offer a supportive place to navigate life’s challenges, explore your inner world, and foster personal growth. Sessions move at your own pace, with care attuned to your unique needs and goals.

I draw on a relational, trauma-informed approach that honours your lived experience and supports meaningful change — whether you’re seeking clarity, healing, or a greater sense of balance.

Couples & Families

Alongside individual therapy, I offer sessions for couples and families, focusing on connection, communication, and healing in relationships. I draw on a relational approach that honours each person’s experience and the connections that shape their lives.

My work in perinatal and reproductive mental health and wellbeing has deepened my understanding of how relationships evolve through life’s transitions — including caregiving, loss, and growth — and this experience informs the way I support couples and families at every stage.

Groups

Supportive groups—such as perinatal circles for birth stories and creative groups using poetry—foster connection, healing, and shared growth.

I also facilitate professional workshops on trauma-informed care, perinatal mental health, and related topics to support practitioners in offering compassionate, evidence-based care, and enhance workplace mental health.
